Election of Council Officers

The following members of Council were elected by Council on March 20, 2026 to serve a one-year term as officers of Council (Bylaws 1.19-1.25):

President: Dr. Jane Pritchard

Vice-President: Dr. Gigi Lin

Treasurer: Mr. Gian Sihota

Discipline Decision: Dr. Hardeep Kataria

Dr. Hardeep Kataria is ordered to pay $35,889.55 and ordered to complete the CVBC Bylaw and Ethics Seminar and take and pass the CVBC Bylaw and Ethics Exam.

2025-2026 Council Election Outcome

February 17, 2026

Dr. Douglas Casey and Dr. Robert McLeod have been elected to the Council of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia, each for a 3-year term effective March 20, 2026.

The College is grateful to outgoing Council members Dr. Michele Martin and Dr. Justin McLash for their dedicated and valuable service to the College.

Discipline Decision: Dr. Janice Posnikoff

Dr. Janice Posnikoff is found to have committed professional misconduct in failing to cooperate with the College’s investigation in breach of the Veterinarians Act, SBC 2010, c 15.

Registrant Vote on Fees – Result

September 2, 2025

The proposed revised CVBC Bylaws Schedule “C” – Prescribed Fees and Assessments was approved by a simple majority of voting registrants in accordance with section 26 of the Veterinarians Act. 36% of eligible registrants voted. 55.4% voted in favour. More information can be found here.
